Qualitative Comments/Evaluation
I believe my strong areas in my speech were the introduction and preparing my speech. Everything went better then what I though it was going to be. The camera did not bother me at all either which was surprising.
I believe a strong area that I mastered was ethics. I prepared my speech about two weeks before, and then practiced a little everyday.
A way that I learn is that I learn from my mistakes. I know what I have to improve on for me persuasive speech. I am going to work on my speech as soon as I can start and I know the guidelines so I can get practice and deliver my speech with naturalist.
Areas where I could improve are practicing my speech in front of a few more people. I said “um” a few times. I did not realize that I said it until the after I did it. More towards the end of the speech, I was pausing instead of saying “um”.
I would like to add transisitions in my powerpoint so I could talk about one point and then bring in another point and talk about that.
Another where I could improve is slowing down a little bit when I talk. I think in the beginning of my speech I was rushing because I was nervous. For my persuasive speech I know for sure I will deliver with naturalness.
