English 15

On this page it links you to the different type of papers that I have written for my English 15 class at Penn State Hazleton.  Feel free to click on the links below!

Year in Review
The Year in Review paper summarizes the most significant events from 1963.  The biggest thing that happened in this year is that President John F. Kennedy was assassinated

Cultural Analysis
The Cultural Artifact is a web page that describes the push button telephone.  Here you will find pictures of the telephone along with a video from youtube.com showing how popular it became when it was released.

Narrative
The Narrative is a podcast from 1963.  This is specifically about the assassination of John F. Kennedy.  This link will take you to another website where you can listen to it.

Narrative Script
The Narrative was an assignment where we had to create a pod cast.  I was a news anchor covering the assassination of John F. Kennedy.  Here you will find out the whole story behind the assassination along with an interview with a witness.  This is just the script, not the actual recording.

Image Analysis
The Image Analysis paper is based on a Jams Bond Film, Dr. No.  In this essay it will show you how gender played a part in jobs that women and men could have.

The 1960s in Review Video

This part of the English class required Dan Walsh, Ian Walters, Dave Hampson, and myself to create a eight minute video.  In this video you will see how we all linked our years together through different events.  We focused on equality for minorities and women.  Here is the youtube link for the video:

Blogs
The blogs were composed at the end of each assignment.  For each assignment you will find two blogs.  One is a process blog.  You will find how I started to all the way to the final product.  The second blog is something I either learned about or something interesting I found out in my year.
